If you're serious about learning guitar, which route should you go? There's only two to consider: getting lessons from a local shop with an instructor or finding a program with guitar lessons videos online.
Taking lessons from a local shop means one thing: you get what you pay for, and not much else. The worst part is that you can't revisit older sessions in case you didn't quite understand something or want to go back over something (well, that's not entirely true... You CAN go back over old lessons, you'd just be paying for it again and get nothing new out of it).
There is another way to go, however...
That other way to go, the one which I recommend, is to find a program online with guitar lessons videos. This way, you get to download each lesson and go through them at your own pace. If you don't understand something in a previous lesson, you can revisit that lesson and just go through it again-as many times as you wish, for no extra cost! You won't have to worry about remembering to ask instructors questions from previous sessions and consuming the half hour to an hour that you get for your new lesson.
Programs with guitar lessons videos are definitely the most practical way to learn guitar, even if you only have a little bit of free time per day. You can fit in a lesson at your convenience from your own home, in the time that you have. And even if you don't finish that lesson, not to worry; it will be there for you to pick up when you're next available.
Do some researching and searching for these programs, but make you sure read reviews of any programs you're considering to find out if the guitar playing lessons program sounds good for you. There are some good one out there, but also some bad ones, so just do you research, and good luck!
